- Junee Correctional Centre is a large complex facility that accommodates up to 1,270 minimum, medium and maximum sentenced men
- The centre also includes a female transition unit, which provides short-term accommodation for women
- the centre is located in Junee, in the Riverina region of New South Wales.
Our inspection will focus on:
- custodial conditions, including safety and security
- treatment, care and wellbeing of inmates, including privacy
- programs, education, and preparation for release
- resources and systems, including the staffing and management.
The Inspector of Custodial Services may consider any other relevant matters in the course of this inspection.
