Cessnock Correctional Centre

Cessnock CC is a minimum and medium-security facility for men located on the Cessnock Correctional Complex. The Complex is located in the Hunter Valley, 151 km north-west of Sydney and includes Hunter and Shortland correctional centres.

We inspected Cessnock CC for the first time in 2018 as part of the Inspection of Health Services in NSW correctional facilities Report. We then inspected the centre in 2023 as part of the Inspection of Shortland Correctional Centre and Cessnock Correctional Centre report.
