Current inspections

The Inspector must inspect:

• each adult custodial centre once every five years
• each juvenile custodial centre once every three years.

To meet these requirements we undertake a combination of individual centre inspections and theme-based reviews using our inspection standards

This list includes:

• Inspections that are in progress
• Inspections that are complete and our report is being prepared
• Inspections that have been announced but are still being planned
