Kariong Intake and Transit Centre, Amber Laurel Correctional Centre and the 24-hr court cell complexes

The Inspector of Custodial Services will conduct an inspection of Kariong Intake and Transit Centre, Amber Laurel Correctional Centre, and the 24-hr court cell complexes.

Relevant standards, legislation, policies and procedures will inform the inspection. This inspection will focus on matters related to:

• custodial conditions, including safety and security
• the treatment, care and wellbeing of inmates
• resources and systems, including the staffing and management of each 24-hr court cell complex, and correctional facility.

The Inspector of Custodial Services may consider any other relevant matters during this inspection.
