Inspector of Custodial Services

Annual reports

The Inspector of Custodial Services is required to produce an Annual Report to NSW Parliament within the period of 4 months after 30 June every year.

The Inspector of Custodial Services Act 2012 outlines that the Annual Report must include:

  • a description of the Inspector’s activities during that year in relation to each of the Inspector’s principal functions,
  • an evaluation of the response of relevant authorities to the recommendations of the Inspector,
  • any recommendations for changes in the laws of the State, or for administrative action, that the Inspector considers should be made as a result of the exercise of the Inspector’s functions.
