Bathurst Correctional Centre

Bathurst CC is located approximately 200km west of Sydney. It is a multi-classification correctional centre accommodating up to 780 sentenced and remand inmates. There are three distinct sectors housing male inmates, and a transitional unit at the centre for female inmates. 

We have inspected Bathurst CC twice. The first time we inspected the centre it was as part of  our Programs, Education and Employment report in 2018. We then inspected Bathurst CC in 2023 for a standalone report about the centre.
