Kirkconnell CC is a minimum security facility for men located between Bathurst and Lithgow, 180kms from Sydney. The centre can accommodate up to 196 inmates who can participate in programs, education, and employment including work release or external leave programs.
Kirkconnell CC was first inspected in 2019 in conjunction with Kariong Correctional Centre and the Integration Support Centre. We then inspected Kirkconnell CC for the Inspection of Kirkconnell Correctional Centre Report that was tabled in NSW parliament and published in November 2024.
